Can I order film, paper, or chemicals online for delivery?
Yes, browse our full shop online across Film, Papers, Chemistry, and Darkroom Accessories, and check out securely by card, PayPal, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. Orders are packed and shipped from our Bangkok store.
Do you ship outside Bangkok, or internationally?
Yes, we ship within Thailand and to several countries across Southeast Asia and Japan. Shipping cost is calculated by weight; just add items to your cart and use the Shipping Calculator at checkout to see the price for your address.
Visiting Us
Is Bangkok Darkroom open for walk-ins, or is it appointment only?
We’re primarily appointment-based, but our shop is open all day on Saturdays from 11 AM–5 PM.
How do I get to Bangkok Darkroom from BTS Phrom Phong?
Bangkok Darkroom is located just 5 meters from BTS Phrom Phong Exit 4, making it easy to reach by public transportation. The entrance can be easy to miss, so look for Kush Katsu Ebisu Shoten on the ground floor.
- Take BTS Phrom Phong Exit 4.
- Walk to Kush Katsu Ebisu Shoten, located on the ground floor.
- Walk through the restaurant and exit at the back.
- Take the glass elevator to the 4th floor to find Bangkok Darkroom.

Darkroom Rental
Can I rent darkroom space to develop or print my own film?
Yes, we're excited to offer a fully equipped rental darkroom for color and black & white work, conveniently located at Phrom Phong station. Please email info@bangkokdarkroom.com to book.
How much does it cost to rent the darkroom?
- Session Set Up Fee: ฿1,500/day (includes your first hour)
- Additional darkroom time: ฿500/hour
- Automatic processor rental: from ฿600/session, or hand-process manually
- Chemistry and paper: charged based on actual usage
- Refundable security deposit: ฿20,000
Example: a 5-hour black & white printing session with manual processing typically runs around ฿4,700, excluding the deposit.
Do I need to bring my own chemicals to use the rental darkroom?
You're welcome to bring your own chemicals, or purchase them on-site: a B&W printing chemistry set (1000mL working solution) is ฿500, and a color printing chemistry set is ฿900. Purchased chemistry can be labeled, stored, and reused on future visits.
What film formats can the rental darkroom handle?
Our rental darkroom accommodates film formats from 35mm up to 4x5" large format, and includes a mural station capable of prints up to 100x150 cm.
Workshops
Do I need experience to join a workshop at Bangkok Darkroom?
Not at all! All of our workshops are beginner-friendly, including Cyanotype Printing, B&W and Color Film Developing, B&W Hand Printing, and Color Hand Printing. Just bring curiosity and a willingness to get your hands a little wet.
Does my film need to be processed before the workshop?
For B&W Hand Printing and Color Hand Printing, yes — your film must be developed before you arrive. If you're not taking our Film Developing workshop, we recommend What The Film in Ekamai for processing your B&W or color negative film beforehand. For B&W and Color Film Developing, your film should be unprocessed, since developing it is the workshop itself.
Does Bangkok Darkroom offer film processing as a drop-off service?
No. We don’t offer film processing as a stand-alone drop-off service. You can process your film through our B&W and Color Film Developing workshop, or rent our darkroom and develop your own film using our professional equipment and chemistry.
